Hello, my name is Stavroula
i’m web developer based in Berlin.
Creator of digital ideas that connect, solve, and inspire.
How I Met Programming
It all started with a simple question: How do colors, shapes, and animations appear on my screen?
That curiosity led me to explore CSS. I was fascinated by how a few lines of code could transform a blank page into something vibrant and alive. But I didn’t stop there.
I wanted to build something interactive—something fun. So I thought, why not recreate Tetris, the game I loved as a kid?

That project pushed me to learn JavaScript and dive deeper into how logic and design come together.
From there, I started exploring CMS platforms like WordPress, experimenting with themes and plugins, and realizing just how much I enjoyed building things for the web.
It didn’t take long for me to understand: I want to work in tech. So I enrolled in a Umschulung program in Berlin to become a IT specialist for application development.
That’s where I discovered the world of backend development—how to plan and build databases, how PHP works behind the scenes, and how to connect everything together.

One of my school projects was a university management system built with PHP and JavaScript. It was my first full-stack experience, and it taught me how to think like a developer—not just a coder.

Then came my internship. I joined a team working with the LMS platform ILIAS, where I developed a custom filter search plugin.
It was my first time contributing to a real-world product, and I learned a lot about collaboration, version control, and user-focused development.
After completing my Umschulung, I’m now focused on building and sharing my own ideas. I’m developing a personal playbook—trying out vertical navigation menus in React, experimenting with carousels, and turning those components into Elementor widgets for WordPress. This portfolio is one of them.
And the journey? It’s far from over. There’s still so much to learn, so many ideas to build, and so many stories to tell.
To be continued…

Administration Management System
Web Application - PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS -
A full-stack university management system built during my Umschulung. It allows administrators to manage student and professor data, track course registrations, and record attendance. This was my first real-world backend experience, and it taught me how to structure databases, write clean PHP logic, and connect frontend components with backend services.

Tetris
Game / JavaScript Project - JavaScript, HTML, CSS -
A nostalgic browser-based version of Tetris, built to revisit one of my favorite childhood games. This project helped me understand game logic, collision detection, and DOM manipulation using vanilla JavaScript. It was a playful way to explore coding fundamentals while recreating something meaningful from my past.

Notebook
Web App- In Progress - In React and Laravel -
This personal productivity app is designed to simplify everyday life through smart organization and seamless collaboration. It helps me manage my schedule by tracking upcoming appointments and sending email reminders directly from the app. I can jot down notes or create grocery lists based on a predefined food inventory, making shopping more efficient and intentional. The built-in finance tracker allows me to monitor my spending. And when it comes to shared expenses, I can collaborate with my partner to keep track of household spending and maintain a clear overview of our budget.
